Math: Solve the following problems on loose-leaf or graph paper. DUE Tuesday 10/24.
1. Write a number sentence and statement to answer the sticker questions below. Include a math drawing if you like. a. Alex's mom gave him 9 stickers to start his collection. He received 35 more for his birthday. How many stickers does Alex have now? b. James has 50 stickers and gives away 8. How many stickers does James have now?

2. Tammy gave 8 markers to Sam. She started with 42 markers. How many markers does Tammy have now? Write a number sentence and statement to answer.

3.  Richard has 53 centimeter cubes. Henry has 20 centimeter cubes. What is the length of their cubes altogether?

4. The length of Marisa’s loaf of bread is 54 centimeters. She cut off and ate 7 centimeters of bread. What is the length of what she has left?

5. The length of Jimmy’s math book is 19 centimeter. His reading book is 12 centimeters longer. What is the length of his reading book?

1. The length of a screwdriver is 16 centimeters. The handle is 5 centimeters long. a. What is the length of the top of the screwdriver? b. How much shorter is the handle than the top of the screwdriver?

2. Rita measured her puppet’s legs to be 24 centimeters long. The stomach is 6 centimeters long, and the neck and head together are 10 centimeters long. What is the total length of the puppet?

3. With one push, Brian’s toy car traveled 30 centimeters across the rug. When pushed across a hardwood floor, it traveled 75 centimeters. How many more centimeters did the car travel on the hardwood floor than across the rug?

    Quizzes sent home!!

    Module 1 math quiz #2 was returned to grades 2 and 3. Module 1 math quiz #1 to grade 4 and sent home. Unit-1 science quiz #2 was returned to grades 3 and 4. Students are to review them and make corrections, if necessary.  They are to be signed, by parents, and returned by Friday 10/6.
