Summer Book Reading Questions

Dear parents and incoming third grade students. Hope you are all well and enjoying the beautiful summer weather.  I know that it feels like Summer just started and the idea of going back to school seems very far into the future. As we enter the month of July I would like to remind students to keep up with their reading assignments and practicing math skills and concepts. Use your math-books, ixl and other websites to support and maintain your skills. You can check out the website resources on this blog  for additional support and practice.

There will be questions based on the summer reading book regularly posted on my blog. Students are required to answer these questions on loose-leaf. Assignment is due on the first day of school.

Grade 3 Student Supply List and Summer Reading Book

THIRD GRADE:
-The following supplies are for all three teachers and respective subjects. Teachers will assist students in labeling notebooks and folders in class come September. 

-Following the list below is the required summer reading books for incoming third grade students only.
Students are required to purchase their summer reading book and answer questions that will be posted on this blog during July.

• 4 marble notebooks (no spiral notebooks)
• 1 marble graph notebook (for math class)
• 6 folders (plastic ones only please- can be bought in schools supply room)
• pencils (no mechanical pencils)
• erasers
• 1 pack of color pencils ( No markers)
• 1 sharpener that keeps shavings inside
• 2 rolls of paper towels
• 2 containers of  wipes
• 3 reams of white copy paper
• 2 tissue boxes
• 2 packs of graph paper
• 2 packs of loose-leaf
• 1 glue stick
• 1 small size thesaurus
• one 12 inch ruler
• 1 yellow highlighter

Questions for book The Blizzard,  will be posted every week starting July. Students are to view the blog and answer the questions on loose-leaf. Assignments will be collected first day of school.
