Math: Solve the following problems on loose-leaf or graph paper. DUE Tuesday 10/24.
1. Write a number sentence and statement to answer the sticker questions below. Include a math drawing if you like. a. Alex's mom gave him 9 stickers to start his collection. He received 35 more for his birthday. How many stickers does Alex have now? b. James has 50 stickers and gives away 8. How many stickers does James have now?

2. Tammy gave 8 markers to Sam. She started with 42 markers. How many markers does Tammy have now? Write a number sentence and statement to answer.

3.  Richard has 53 centimeter cubes. Henry has 20 centimeter cubes. What is the length of their cubes altogether?

4. The length of Marisa’s loaf of bread is 54 centimeters. She cut off and ate 7 centimeters of bread. What is the length of what she has left?

5. The length of Jimmy’s math book is 19 centimeter. His reading book is 12 centimeters longer. What is the length of his reading book?
