Vocabulary words week of 5-16-11

1. ton: a standard unit of mass equal to 2,000 pounds.

2. square number: when a number is multiplied by itself the answer is a square number.

3. statistics: facts and figures presented in numbers

4. fossil: Any evidence of an organism that lived in the past

5. digestive system: The organ system that breaks down food for energy or fuel.

Grade: 4 Mathematics practice NYS Exam

This week the fourth grade will be taking the New York State Math Exam on Wednesday, 5/11 and Thursday, 5/12. It is in the students best interest to dedicate time to study and practice at home.
Below I have provided a link to a webpage where samples of previous test are available for students to practice. Once you are in you may select the year (2010 preferably) and the test books from which you may use for practice.
